If you’ve spent any time near the beach, you know that the courts aren’t just a place to play—they are the heartbeat of our community. That’s why we are incredibly excited to officially announce the birth of the Venice Beach Pop Tennis Society.

Why We Created This

Pop tennis (historically known around here as paddle tennis) has a legendary history right here on our boardwalk. But we noticed something was missing: a centralized, community-driven space that connects players, welcomes newcomers, and celebrates the culture of the game.

As a nonprofit organization, our mission is simple: to promote and grow pop tennis locally, making it more accessible, inclusive, and visible for future generations! We want to preserve the roots of this incredible sport while infusing it with the unique, vibrant energy that only Venice Beach can deliver.

What We Offer

Whether you’re a seasoned pro who can spin a ball on a dime, or you’ve never picked up a paddle in your life, we have a place for you. We are building a strong, social community around the game through:

  • Casual Play & Social Mixers: Low-pressure environments to meet new people.
  • Classes & Clinics: Learn the ropes or sharpen your skills with local players.
  • Organized Matches & Seasonal Leagues: For those who love a weekly routine.
  • Competitive Tournaments: High-energy brackets where you can put it all on the line.

When Do We Start?

Our official, full-scale league is launching in Late August, but we just can’t wait that long to get on the court with you. Keep your eyes peeled for an exclusive Soft Launch this summer featuring casual meetups and mixer events to get the ball rolling.

We are a community-driven league designed to bring players together through sport, connection, and the unique energy of Venice Beach. We create opportunities for players of all levels to meet, have fun, and play.
